About It's French

Bringing you a hand-picked collection of the finest food and produce, sourced from small artisan farmers in the South West of France. It's French is a wholesale distributor and online retailer.  We divide our time between our homes in the Peak District and Gascony, along with our daughter Mariella and chocolate Labrador Kitkat.

Gascony is the land of d'Artagnan, the inspiration for the character in The Three Musketeers by Dumas.  It is also famed for its 'douceur de vivre' ('sweetness of life').  It is home to foie gras and Armagnac.  The medieval towns and villages, locally called bastides, nestle amidst green rolling hills, home to ducks and geese which roam freely, whilst the weather is sunny and the landscape beautiful, offering occasional distant views of the Pyrenees. 

We have discovered a wealth of wonderful foods near our home, made with pride and tradition by small local artisans: hand made, simple foods, without artificial preservatives.  Our wish is to share these jewels with you and perhaps entice you to visit this beautiful region so that you too can experience the gastronomic pleasures yourselves.  Choose between duck confit, duck and goose foie gras, a range of pâtés and terrines, snails, organic rapeseed oil, duck with haricot beans or green lentils .....
