It's French! Duck and Goose

At the heart of Gascony lies a farm, passed down from father to son for several generations over the course of three hundred years. The farm is now in the hands of Jerome and his wife Celia, their ducks and geese wander freely around the hills of the gently sunkissed countryside. The products are hand made by the family, with love and French passion using traditional techniques passed down through time.


It's French! Organic Rapeseed Oil, Haricot Beans and Green Lentils and the ocasional duck

A few miles down the road in a small village on the banks of the Adour river lies a farm that Philippe, Nathalie and Sébastien took over from Philippe’s parents who kept cows and grew traditional crops. Recognising the need to diversify Philippe acquired organic status in 2001 and now farms 47 hectares organically. Products include rapeseed, green lentils, haricot beans and peanuts. The family also keep free range ducks.

Philippe is the only producer of organic peanuts in France. Recently, after much searching, he acquired an ancient roasting oven. It required much renovation but now provides freshly roasted peanuts while you wait!

There is also a wonderful thick yellow nutty organic rapeseed oil, rich in Omega 3 and just perfect for dressing or drizzling over salads and veg.

It's French! Snails

It's French! snails are raised by Patrice and his family, Claudine and Céline, on a rustic farm hidden deep in the hills where the family has lived for many generations. For Patrice, snails are his life and it’s impossible not to get carried along by his pride and infectious enthusiasm for this traditional French food. His snails are happy snails! They roam free inside their open air enclosure and are fed on only the best - a secret formula that Patrice lovingly prepares himself. The end result is large, tasty and tender snails – a must for lovers of fine food!

It's French!  Honey and Cakes

It's French! Honey comes from a beekeeper in the Armagnac region of Gascony.  Paul, Caroline and their young family have around 600 hives which are placed in different parts of the region and also in the Pyrenees to take advantage of the mountain flower blossom.  The family are passionate about their products and this is reflected in the quality and also in the design of the packaging.  The Cakes (Pain d'Epices) resemble gingerbread and are available in 7 different flavours, including chocolate, Rum and dried fruits, apple and Calvados and one which is specifically produced to accompany foie gras.

It's French!  Jams and Preserves

It's French! Jams and Preserves are produced near the Pyrenees by the Butturini family.  Formerly a Boulanger/Patissier in Biarritz and working from 2am each day to bake bread and cakes, he returned to the family home following the birth of his first child and set up his jam making business.
